Our long-awaited 2023 Sauvignon Blanc begins with a lovely, pale lemon color, and offers light aromas of citrus and lemongrass to the nose. The characteristic bright and intense acidity will excite and delight your palate! 100% estate grown in our Afton South Vineyard.

The first vintage from our Grayson Vineyard has a pale yellow appearance to the eye and offers light aromas of pear and melon to the nose. There is bright acidity and a crispness on the palate, along with a gentle touch of natural fruity sweetness and followed by a pleasing finish. 100% estate grown.

2021
This vintage begins with a lovely light gold appearance and offers delicate aromas of pear followed by a lush and creamy mouthfeel. The aging of this wine reflects a thoughtful use of French Oak – 37.5% new, 25% 1-2 year, and 37.5% neutral. 100% estate grown in our Afton South and Mountain Glen Vineyards.

Our 2022 vintage is clear and bright to the eye. The nose delivers aromas of honeysuckle so wonderfully familiar to the best Virginia Viogniers, followed by notes of ripe pear and pineapple and perhaps a hint of vanilla on the palate. This wonderfully balanced wine concludes with a luscious, bright finish. ABV 12.7%; RS 0.6%; cooperage: 60% stainless steel, 40% neutral oak

A lovely blend of 39% Viognier, 36% Petit Manseng, and 25% Chardonnay, this wine features honeysuckle and nectarine on the nose, with bright acidity mid-palate, followed by a pleasing, creamy mouthfeel on the finish, reflective of aging in 87.5% neutral French Oak and 12.5% in 1-year French Oak.

An elevated experience for lovers of
dessert-style wines. The effect of barn-drying a portion of these late-harvest grapes, along with aging in new French Oak and Acacia wood barrels results in a wine rich in complex aromas of honeysuckle, ripe melon, pineapple and vanilla, medium sweetness and body on the palate and a lush, pleasing finish. 100% estate Petit Manseng (late harvest).

White 2021
This lovely off-dry blend of Vidal Blanc and Petit Manseng begins with a visual clarity that suggests the crispness to come. A rush of apple blossom on the nose becomes a lush (and luscious) mouthfeel. 100% stainless steel.
ROSÉ WINES
Rosé 2022
From the 2022 vintage, we again feature a Provençal-style Rosé that greets you with a clear light pink hue. Subtle notes of strawberry then appear on the nose and palate, and leave you with a crisp, but only mildly acidic, wine that you will enjoy chilled all on its own or as a versatile partner with your favorite foods.

Our 2023 Rosé reflects our continuing devotion to the Provençal style: bright and inviting pale pink; lovely subtle aromas of stone fruit; light bodied with crisp acidity on the palate, and a gentle and pleasing finish. 100% Merlot from our Grayson Vineyard.

Mountain Glen Rosé NV
Whether you're on the porch or at the beach, this easy-drinking Rosé has a touch of sweetness that balances perfectly with refreshing acidity. Strawberry on the nose and on the palate that is delightfully tasty, but not overly fruity.

“Joie” means filled with wonder and enchantment. Our sparkling Rosé has rich berry notes that persist through a well-balanced finish. With just the right amount of carbon dioxide-infused bubbles, this is a Rosé to savor everyday and on special occasions!

This elegant light-bodied Merlot is enhanced by traces of Petit Verdot and offers a lovely, gentle tasting experience. Aged 10 months in new French Oak, 75% in neutral French Oak. 100% Valley Road Vineyards estate fruit.

Torn Curtain
2021
Our most popular wine for five years in a row, this 2021 blend of Chambourcin, Merlot, and Petit Verdot may be the best vintage yet. Fruity with faint hints of earthiness and leather on the nose, the palate experiences a lovely balance of acidity and tannins along with flavors of red berries. 50% Chambourcin, 37.5% Merlot, 12.5% Petit Verdot. Aged 10 months in neutral French oak.

Cabernet Franc
2021
Our 2021 Cabernet Franc has a lovely medium-red color with touches of purple, the latter reflecting a smattering of Petit Verdot. Primary aromas include violets and red fruit (cherry and raspberry). An elegant medium-light body is bolstered by a pleasant spiciness on the mid-palate and gentle tannins on the finish. Aged 25% in new French Oak and 75% in neutral oak for less than a year, so while it is showing beautifully for a young wine, it will get better and better with more time in the bottle. 50% Valley Road Vineyards estate fruit, 50% from the Shenandoah Valley.

2019
After aging for nearly three years, this Bordeaux-style blend made with fruit from the outstanding 2019 harvest is ready to be savored. Great clarity and medium ruby color to the eye are followed by pleasant but not overpowering aromas and tastes of black cherry, plum, and cocoa. This well integrated blend features medium acidity and medium+ tannins, and finishes beautifully. 53% Merlot, 44% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc.

Tannat 2021
A wine rich in antioxidants, the 2021 Tannat has an aromatic nose of black fruit. Its medium body is complemented by medium acidity and refined tannins. Aged 20 months in neutral oak. Available for sale in the Tasting Room only.
Petit Verdot
2019
A very pure expression of Petit Verdot, representative of the best Virginia PVs. Deep purple to the eye and unmistakable dark fruit (plum) on the nose. A delicious balance of fruit and acidity mid-palate, it finishes with pleasing, grippy tannins. Aged 20 months in new and neutral French oak. 100% estate fruit.
