A lively, crisp wine that blends tastes of green apple, spiced apricot, and Asian pear. With a medium body, succulent flavors of candied fruit resonate throughout as the wine comes to a light, refreshing finish, laced with minerality and a touch of vanilla and cedar.
A versatile wine, Destana pairs with white meats, cheeses, and pastas
Appealing aromas of peach, lime, and sea salt on the nose. This medium-bodied wine boasts a palate of white apricot and peach-skin with tart lime citrus notes and lively, slate-like minerality. The smooth mouth-filling texture ends with a flourish of light vanillin.
Pairs well with creamy dishes, particularly ones with a bit of spice. Pasta
with an Alfredo or carbonara sauce, seafood, or creamy vegetarian dishes would all enjoy being partnered with this Viognier!
Cabernet Franc 2017
Lively and bright with pleasing acidity and soft, subtle tannins. Aroma of violets, with tart cherry and red currant on the palate, followed by a hint of white pepper. Elegant and eminently drinkable chilled or at room temperature.
Sip on its own or enjoy with a variety of hearty meat dishes, such as a rich beef stew on a cold night.
This Bordeaux-style blend is big, bold, and delicious. 18 months in French Oak and extra aging in the bottle have served this wine well. It’s drinkable now and will develop and drink well for years to come. 47% Petit Verdot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc.
Pair with all things red meat – from burgers to prime rib
Mountain Glen White 2017
A 50/50 blend of Petit Manseng and Vidal Blanc, Mountain Glen has been 100% stainless steel aged. Off dry, it has hints of pineapple, with a honeycomb finish.
This refreshing wine is a great complement to spicy foods.
100% Chardonnay made from grapes harvested from mature Albemarle County vines. Malolactic fermentation with a hint of oak smooths the sharp edges of the natural acidity, leaving a lovely balance of silky mouthfeel and tartness on the tongue.
Pairs well with a wide range of chicken or seafood dishes or with softer cheese such as Camembert
Torn Curtain 2017
Unmistakable Petit Verdot on the nose, followed by the silky mouth feel and fruitiness of Chambourcin. Silver medalist, 2018 Virginia Governor’s Cup.
A step up from a basic table wine… Enjoy this with pasta, pizza and everything else!
Petit Verdot 2016
100% Petit Verdot. Bold, dark cherry nose and subdued tannins lead to a soft mouth feel and a long finish.
Enjoy with a variety of hearty meat dishes, perhaps a rich beef stew on a chilly fall evening
Thank you for being a part of our Virginia wine club!
