Frequently Asked Questions
Valley Road Vineyards does not offer catering, but will provide a list of Preferred Catering Partners and Food Trucks who are familiar with working at our property.
Beer, Spirits & Wine
If desired, your caterer can obtain an ABC license to serve alcoholic beverages other than wine. Your caterer will also purchase such beverages, as you request. We ask that only Valley Road wine be served and there is a minimum of one case per 20 guests (cases can be mixed and a 15% case discount is offered). No guest may bring outside alcoholic beverages or serve themselves while attending the event.
Valley Road provides 60″ round tables and seating for 125 guests; four eight-foot tables for food service; a bar; two wine barrel tables to use as desired (gifts, photo array, etc.) and a cake table. In addition, railings in The Barn and on the deck provide additional surfaces for buffet dining. Clients provide their own linens, tableware, flatware, and glassware. VRV has two arbors available for use during the ceremony which may be decorated as desired. Any other furnishings desired for the ceremony will be provided by the guest.
Day-of Wedding Coordinators / Wedding Planners
Valley Road Vineyards requires that wedding parties retain a professional Day-Of Wedding Coordinator (a Preferred Vendor list is provided) who will be present the entirety of the wedding day. Some guests, particularly those who are planning a wedding while working full-time or from a long distance, find that retaining a Wedding Planner is extremely helpful and choose to retain these services as soon as they get engaged or for at least the month of the wedding.
The Loft and the Cabin
The wedding party has access to the Loft at 11AM on the morning of the wedding. The Loft is equipped with mirrors, styling stations, comfortable seating — and a gorgeous view of the Valley and The Lawn. Most groomsmen prefer to arrive approximately two hours before the ceremony. The photographer may arrive when desired to capture pre-wedding photos.
Rehearsal Dinners & Welcome Parties
Couples will be able to hold their rehearsal the afternoon/evening prior.
Many couples choose to remain on property after the Rehearsal. The Library is an intimate setting for cocktails, buffets, and/or seated dinners for 40 or more people. Our Tasting Room, SIP, is a popular spot for “night before” Welcome Parties — especially if many guests are from out-of-town.
The Barn floor was made for dancing. Depending on the size of your guest list, you may opt to save space and retain a DJ (vs. a live band). Due to local ordinance, all music must end by 10:30PM and all guests must depart the premises no later than 11PM.
