On Sunday, November 13th, Will Overman Band performed a benefit concert at Valley Road Vineyards to provide support for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in advance of the busy holiday season.
“We are happy to report that the event raised $1,107 which is equal to 4,428 meals. We are beyond grateful to Valley Road Vineyards and the Will Overman Band for partnering with us to solve hunger in the spirit of the holiday season,” remarked Carrie Covey, BRAFB Development Coordinator.
We want to express our appreciation to the Will Overman Band, our vendors, Blue Ridge Pizza Co., and Big Island Pearls, as well as to the volunteers who donated their time to assist with taking donations, set-up, and event flow.
BRAFB staff member and event volunteer Nancy Bowman said, “What fun to sit in the sun, drink wonderful wine, listen to live music and have the opportunity to interact with owners and friends of a caring business who partner with Blue Ridge Area Food Bank to help feed our neighbors! I experienced a perfect day at Valley Road Vineyards and look forward to many more opportunities to enjoy their wines and company in a relaxing setting.”
